We are looking to recruit an energetic and positive Technical Writer to join our team, working on text for games aimed at the European and Asian market. You will have a combination of written creative flair and an eye for technical detail, and you will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a wide range of people, from designers and technical writers to game developers and game producers around the world.Main duties and responsibilities:

• Work with the Game Producer, translating aspects of game design for the Development and Design teams
• Working with Development and Design teams to create in-game copy and instructions
• Proofreading, amending and updating technical game documentation
• Creating game “back stories”
• Scriptwriting for game characters when required
• Working with Marketing team to create marketing assets for games
• Assist with English proofreading for company product documentation

Must have skills:

• Degree or in-progress graduation in a related subject
• High level of written ability in English
• Ability to write clear, concise and accurate copy in a professional style
• Flair for writing lively, entertaining and colloquial copy using a wide range of tones and styles
• Proven ability to write both editorial and creative in-game copy
• Ability to write promotional text for marketing and sales purposes
• Able to write press releases and other long-form copy

Nice to have skills:

• Evidence of an ability to understand new ideas quickly and to convey those ideas to others
• An interest in games and how to market them
• Highly self-motivated and well-organized
